Body Remembering John Kells' Pushing Hands










Yesterday Sara asked me if we could practice this pushing hands exercise developed by John Kells
We hadn't practiced it for ages and at first I couldn't remember anything. Then I asked her to punch and suddenly my body remembered the yield. Then my feet remembered how to respond , little by little the body remembered each piece until finally we had put it all together again.
Now all it needs is more practice and it will be even better than before.
This practice never fails to inspire me , it teaches me so much about my body, about other bodies about our minds and our connection, each practice session reveals some interesting insight or unexpected experience. It is always new and fresh.
